Chilly autumn weather set the stage for this year’s Sycamore Stitchers quilt show, and two of the winning entries were right on theme.
Jacque Thompson’s overall winner in quilt show had touch of winter, and Pat Dobes mastered this year’s Sycamore Stitchers Challenge with the help of some cold-weather friends.
Thompson of Johnson City won the juvenile/lap quilt category with her quilt “Glacier Star.” The quilt received the most votes in the show, making it the overall winner.
“I did win last year, but I did not expect to win again,” Thompson said. “There are so many beautiful quilts in the show every year.”
