Wieger passes Sullivan South past Longhorns

COLONIAL HEIGHTS — The Johnson County Longhorns knew their night depended on stopping Sullivan South quarterback Dylan Wieger.

But sometimes you can’t prevent the inevitable.

Wieger went 14-of-26 for 249 yards and tossed six touchdowns, breaking a team record for a single game, as Sullivan South buried Johnson County 41-14 Friday night during Three Rivers Conference play to remain undefeated on the season.

“We improved a lot these past couple weeks in our passing game, and we had a feeling this week we would be able to work a little more,” Wieger said. “The cold weather kind of made us nervous
