Josie Elizabeth McKinney and Justin Mack Arnold were united in marriage during a double-ring wedding at Locust Gap Freewill Baptist Church on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Mack Arnold Jr. officiated the religious, unity sand ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Joe and Gena Bagby of Hampton. She is the granddaughter of Jr. and Crystal McKinney of Hampton and L.J. and Kim Bagby of Erwin.
The groom is the son of Mack and Mary Arnold of Bloxam, Va. He is the grandson of Kenneth and Emma Mauk of Kentucky and Mack Sr. and Joann Arnold of Mountain City.
Music was provided by Patricia Teague and Mike Trivett. The groom’s parents sang “You and I.”
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was attired in a formal white satin charmeuse gown with a fit and flare silhouette. The corset back bodice featured a sweetheart neckline embellished with jewels and crystal beadwork which extended down the corset back. Pleated, criss-crossed diagonal strips wrapped the torso. The full flared skirt extended into a chapel-length train.
She carried a nosegay of white carnations constructed with white purple centered callies wrapped with purple ribbon.
Bridesmaids were Sara “Boo” Calhoun and Tiffany Rainbolt. Each was attired in a dark purple silk chiffon dress featuring a twirly A-line skirt, a softly gathered sleeveless bodice and flattering V-neck set off with a diamond jewel at the waistline. Each carried a small bouquet of purple carnations.
Alyssa Hill was the flower girl. She wore a sleeveless vintage satin dress with a scoop neckline and a beautiful watercolor purple floral detail on the tulle underskirt. The waist was pulled together with a green bow at the back and a purple diamond accent carnation to the side. She wore a wristlet of white carnations to complete her attire.
Serving as best man and ring bearer was Luke Arnold, brother of the groom.
