Laura Elizabeth Julian and Casey Lynn Taylor were united in marriage during an outdoor wedding at the Julian Farm in Roan Mountain on Saturday, July 7, 2012. The wedding ceremony was performed under an arch designed and created by the bride’s father. Pastor Don Fisher officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Craig and Connie Julian of Roan Mountain. Her grandparents are Hershel and Barbara Julian of Roan Mountain and Frank and Lula Childers of Elizabethton.
The groom is the son of Jerry and Robin Taylor of Elizabethton. His grandparents are Dorothy and Jim Buckles of Elizabethton, Robert and Debbie Rose of Morganton, N.C., Louise and Lynn Rash of Elizabethton and Lloyd and Darlene Taylor of Elizabethton.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a chiffon A-line gown with a side draped bodice, beaded lace and a lace-up back.
She wore an elbow-length veil with a double roll metallic beaded edge.
Cassandra Slagle, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor.
Emily White, friend of the bride, and Lakin Ashley, cousin of the bride, served as bridesmaids.
Flower girl was Alexis Taylor, niece of the groom.
Ring bearers were Jared Taylor, nephew of the groom, and Lincoln Julian, cousin of the bride.
John Taylor, brother of the groom, served as best man.
Jeremy Street and Adam Triplett, both friends of the groom, served as groomsmen.
A reception followed the wedding.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Pigeon Forge and are residing in Elizabethton.
