Robin Gray and Richard Joseph Folse Jr. were united in marriage during a small private ceremony under the canopy of a willow tree in the Roan Mountain Community Park on the dock overlooking Doe River. Daryl Cox, minister, officiated the double-ring vows on Friday, June 28, 2013, at 6:30 p.m.
The bride is the daughter of the late Carroll and Eloise Gray.
The groom is the son of Shirley and Fred Leon of Carriere, Miss.
Given in marriage by her daughter, Victoria Faith Hughes, the bride wore a white summer dress with a floral eyelet pattern flourishing a surplice neckline leading into a broomstick crinkle skirt adorned with a matching crochet band hem of eyelet lace.
She carried a summer mixed arrangement adorned with a locket with her father’s picture inside and one of her mother’s brooches.
Victoria Hughes, attending the bride as maid of honor, was attired in a blue and green paisley summer dress.
Gavin Singleton was the ring bearer.
Justin Dingus, best friend of the groom, served as best man.
The groom’s parents hosted the reception at a beautiful cabin overlooking the valley of Roan Mountain, delighting the guests with a variety of Cajun cuisine.
The couple enjoyed time at home visiting with out-of-town family. They continue to live in their cozy home.
