Jessie Yvonne Carroll and Brandon Monroe Hodges were united in marriage on Saturday, May 12, 2012.
The Rev. Ray Amos officiated the double-ring, candlelight ceremony held at 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Lynn Carroll, Lee Street, Elizabethton.
Her grandparents are the late Gordon Carroll, Jessie Nidiffer, Jean Nidiffer and Yvonne Henson.
The groom is the son of Chris and Christy Hodges, Gap Creek Road, Hampton.
His grandparents are Russell Hodges, Hampton, and the late Gail Hodges; and Marie Miller, Hampton, and the late Monroe B. Miller.
A beautiful arrangement of contemporary and classic songs was performed by vocalist Ashley Francis.
The bride gave herself in marriage with the blessings of her mom and dad.
She wore a princess-cut strapless gown with a V-slope at the back. The gown was covered in diamonds and pearls down to the train. She also wore a diamond and pearl tiara.
She carried a bouquet made by Melody Montgomery that was arranged with purple and white calla lilies and decorated with pearls, silver and peacock feathers.
Ashley Hongkham and Amber Arnold, friends of the bride, served as matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were Candice Carroll and Abby Carroll, sisters of the bride, and Tiffany Stidham, Reena Cool and Chelsey Milhorn, friends of the bride.
The bride’s attendants wore eggplant halter dresses with slim waistlines.
Groomsmen included Billy Berry, Nathan Jenkins and Austin Jaynes, friends of the groom; Alex Carroll, brother of the bride; and Kevin Harrison and Ben Harrison, cousins of the groom.
Kaydence Carroll, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.
Brayden Carroll, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.
Chris Hodges, father of the groom, served his son as best man.
A reception at the Elizabethton Elks Lodge followed the ceremony.
The couple, who honeymooned in Gatlinburg, are residing at Hampton.
