Warriors swamped by 15 East 3-pointers
By Rick Sheek
BLUFF CITY — Sullivan East performed like the Three Rivers Conference champion it is, and Happy Valley’s basketball team simply couldn’t keep up.
Draining 15 3-pointers, the Patriots rolled 73-36 on Friday night at the Patriot Palace.
“They’re pretty good,” Happy Valley coach Chuck Babb said. “Tonight was a bad night to catch them, all those seniors. We knew they were going to come out to play.

Ashley Minor drained an uncontested 3-pointer to spur the Lady Patriots to victory.
Happy Valley’s Kenzie Blankenship misfired a desperation heave at the buzzer.
“You don’t lose it in the last seconds of a game,” Happy Valley coach Larry Abel said. “You lose it earlier in the game. We just didn’t do the things earlier on in the game, put it in a close situation and they knocked down a big shot.
“We lost. That’s about all you can say.”
