10:56 am | July 3, 2013

The Watauga Association of Genealogists will meet July 9 at the Chester Inn, 116 Main St, Jonesborough, at 6 p.m.
The group will meet in the annex behind the Inn. Everyone is asked to bring their favorite finger food to share with the group.

After refreshments are served, the group will be provided a guided tour of the inn. Built in the late 1790s, this inn, considered Jonesborough’s oldest frame structure, has hosted U.S. Presidents Andrew Jackson, James K. Polk and Andrew Johnson.

Anyone interested in genealogy is welcome to attend. For additional information, call Jim Wilson, 283-0318.
