As of Monday, the United Way had received pledges of $17,505 toward the goal of $182,000. At the kickoff in early September, the United Way had received pledges of $10,000 for the campaign.

United Way Director Debbie Guy said the pledges were coming in to the agency faster this year than in the past.

“We are above where we were last year,” Guy said. “The businesses are still working on their campaigns, so the pledges are still coming in. It is still a work in progress.”
