Unaka, Hampton shoot for first victory

Watauga Valley Conference play opens up this week, with the Hampton Bulldogs hosting the Unaka Rangers tonight at J.C. Campbell Field.

Both squads enter the contest with 0-2 records as the Rangers look to snap a losing streak to the ‘Dogs that started back in 1995.

“Looking at the film, they don’t look like a 0-2 team,” Rangers head coach Steve “Pink” McKinney said. “They’ve got some good running backs and their quarterback does a great job of running the offense.
