Twins stay alive with 5-1 win

The magic number is one.

Elizabethton held up its end of the playoff bargain Wednesday, outlasting Pulaski 5-1 at Joe O’Brien Field. Now the Twins need some help.

Officially two games behind second place Greeneville in the West Division standings, the Twins (36-30) need Astros losses the next two nights as well as a pair of wins over the East Division’s second place squad to boost its resume and earn a postseason berth.

One Greeneville win, and the Twins will hang their hat on the regular season.
