After dealing three runs in the top of the first, the Twins settled down combining for 11 timely hits to erase the early deficit and roll to a 6-3 win over Princeton at O’Brien Field.

Zack Granite, Dereck Rodriguez and Javier Pimentel each had two hits while Andrew Ferreira picked up the win with two innings of relief to maintain a West Division lead with Johnson City with a 7-1 start to the year.

“It’s a long game,” said Rodriguez. “There’s 27 outs. One inning isn’t going to determine a whole game, you just sit down, relax and do what you do best.”
