Main Street: Greeneville will hold a free concert by Trey Hensley to kick off its new music series.

The first concert of this downtown event series, which is presented by Music Off Main, a project of Main Street: Greeneville, will be held Friday, Aug. 9, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., rain or shine. The event will be held below Main Street on West Depot, which will be closed off to traffic.

Headlining this concert event is The Trey Hensley Band. Hensley, a native of Jonesborough, plays his own brand of traditional honky-tonk music. He hit the road with his four-piece band several years ago and has toured from Philadelphia to Los Angeles, Nebraska to North Carolina and he now returns to his native Tennessee for a few concert dates.
