Adam Townsend was chilling out on Wednesday afternoon at his Dennis Cove home.
He’ll turn a little violent come Saturday night.
Townsend (4-1) makes his local MMA professional debut at the East Tennessee Sports Complex. The Hampton native, nick-named “Prime Time,” takes on “Dirty South” D’Juan Owens from the Triangle Jiu-Jitsu and United Thai Boxing Club in Durham (N.C.).
Following an undefeated amateur career and not losing a bout in the professional ranks, Townsend is recovering from his first loss. He dropped a close decision in the 145-pound class a few months ago to hometown boy Frankie Pierce in Atlantic City (N.J.)
