Adam Townsend was on such an athletic high on Saturday night, no cage could hold him.
The Hampton lightweight forced a tapout of Durham’s D’Juan Owens at the 3:06 mark of the first round at the East Tennessee Sports Complex. “Primetime” then climbed to the top of the cage, leapt to the floor and celebrated before the roaring crowd at Tri-City Thunder’s Mixed Martial Arts card.
“It was so awesome to fight in front of my county,” Townsend (5-1) said. “I couldn’t have described it to you any better. I couldn’t have described the finish to happen any easier.
