Freshman Pedro Teixeira put on a scoring clinic on Friday afternoon at Brown-Childress Stadium with five goals as Elizabethton swamped a much improved KACHEA soccer squad 7-0 in a non region match.
Teixeira has scored nine goals in the last two EHS home games and the Cyclones are riding a five-game win streak after starting the season 0-2-1 — with a forfeit by Cumberland Gap in that mix.
“We have improved a lot from the start of the season,” junior midfielder Isaac Fife stated. “Pedro has been doing a great job striking the ball and as a team I think we are making better decisions and passing the ball a lot better.”
