T.A. Dugger knocks off Vance

A hot-shooting start got T.A. Dugger’s boys basketball squad off to a fast start and solid defense in the second half closed the deal as the Junior Cyclones trimmed Vance 34-22 on Tuesday, which was also eighth-grade appreciation night.
Eight eighth-grade players and the team manager along with three cheerleaders were introduced with their parents. They were, Hayden Townsend, Michael Robinson, Alex Norwood, Clayton Owens, manager Daniel Johnson, Russell Carter, J.T. Turner, Brodie Adams and Josh Arthur.
The cheerleaders are Kennedy Hatfield, Ashley Payne and Sydney Wright.
In the second period, Townsend and Robinson each buried three-point shots in the second period as the Cyclones (9-9 overall) built on a 10-6 first-period lead for a 22-13 halftime bulge.
