T.A. Dugger girls win big

GRAY — Some of the youth in the area knew how to take their play to the “next level.”

The annual Next Level Trailblazer saw its share of ups and downs during the second day of action at Daniel Boone High School on Tuesday night.

Eight games were on tap throughout the afternoon, with the T.A. Dugger Lady Jr. Cyclones and the Cloudland Jr. Highlanders highlighting the day for Carter County.

Four games on the ladies’ side saw Carter County Schools and Johnson County take part in the basketball pre-Christmas festivities while Cloudland was the lone boys’ squad from Carter County. The Johnson County Jr. Longhorns saw action in the second game of the boys’ bracket.
