CHURCH HILL — Holding Unicoi County to a combined two points in the second and fourth quarters, T.A. Dugger’s girls punched their ticket to the title game.

Haley Burleson scored 11 points and Loran Campbell added 10 as the Jr. Lady Cyclones rolled through the Middle 8 Confernece semi-final round Wednesday with a 45-19 win at Church Hill Middle School.

“I thought our girls had some really good moments defensively,” said T.A. Dugger coach Barry Johnson. “We had some steals and did a much better job on the boards in the second half. That keys our offense. I was real proud of them.”

T.A. Dugger will play the winner of the Ross Robinson-Liberty Bell nightcap this afternoon at 5 p.m. with the tournament championship at stake.

“It’s going to be a dogfight either way you look at it,” Johnson said. “ Liberty Bell beat us over there and we beat them at our place. We’ve already played Ross Robinson three times and those three games were hard fought games. It should be a real good conference championship.”
