Special thanks for recognition of 1941 CHS team

To the editor:

On behalf of Horace Calhoun, Cloudland High’s first quarterback, we would like to thank Randy Birchfield and everyone at Cloudland High School for honoring the team of 1941.

The night provided special memories for Horace and his family. Many teams and players were recognized for their accomplishments with a special parade in downtown Roan Mountain.

Thank you, also, to the Elizabethton STAR for recognizing this special occason.
