NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Heavy rain has washed away at least one rural road, causing minor evacuations and flooding has closed some schools

No deaths or injuries were reported.

In Middle Tennessee, officials evacuated residents of a mobile home park in Waverly Sunday as water rose.

In West Tennessee, Whiteville Police Chief Steve Stanley said rushing water peeled away sections of asphalt on Murphy Lane, stranding up to 75 people who live in a neighborhood. Several dump truck loads of crushed stone were used for a temporary repair.

There was no school Perry, Decatur and Hardin counties near the Tennessee River or in McNairy and Hardeman counties in West Tennessee on Monday.

East Tennessee was under a flood watch at dawn Monday and there was a winter weather advisory posted for West Tennessee.
