Soccer: Lady Cyclones shut out Crockett

After three road games to start the 2013 girls soccer season, the Elizabethton Lady Cyclones finally got to play a game at Brown-Childress Stadium. They treated their fans to a 2-0 victory over David Crockett on Thursday evening.

Junior striker Hannah Adams scored in the 22nd minute and senior Olivia Bell added a goal late in the first half with an assist from Adams, and the EHS defensive backline allowed just three shots at sophomore goalkeeper Kaitlyn Puckett.

“It’s great having Jordan (Morrell) back there with me,” said senior middle defender Paige Jones. “She just came here this year and I love having her back there. I’m comfortable with her back there. Kaitlyn has been picking it up and has fixed a lot of things and she has been in getting in good position in front of the ball.”
