To the editor:
I do a lot of shopping at [an area department store]. I am handicapped and cannot walk through the store like shoppers, so I must use one of the powered chairs.
I see people using the powered chairs that I know are able to walk. It prevents shoppers like me from using the chairs or having to wait until one becomes available..
Signs should be placed on the chairs stating they are for handicapped use only. More of the powered chairs should be made available for handicapped shoppers as well as handicapped parking spaces.
