Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee has Mobile Food Pantry distributions planned for Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. at Carter Christian Church, 1763 Highway 91, Elizabethton.

That same day, the Mobile Food Pantry will visit Shady Valley in Johnson County at 12:30 p.m. at the Shady Valley Baptist Church, 1339 Highway 91, Shady Valley.

In addition, the Mobile Food Pantry will visit the Sunflower Lane community in the town of Watauga at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27.

Other Carter County Mobile Food Pantry sites will also be doing regularly scheduled distributions but are not able to accept new clients at this time.

Individuals and families who need food assistance and reside in or near these areas are eligible to receive a box of food. No pre-registration is required. Participants should bring a driver’s license, a sturdy container for the food, and be prepared to transport the food from the Mobile Pantry truck to their car. One box will be distributed per household address. Each household should have one family member present, cannot accept food for another household, and is eligible to obtain one box of food per month through the Mobile Pantry program.
