And then there were two.
Elizabethton and Unaka’s state tournament hopes remain alive after each picked up wins on Monday. The Cyclones had little trouble in their 12-2 victory over South Greene while Unaka took a six-run lead, then held off Cosby 8-5.
Those wins guarantees each squad two more games, with the winner of Friday’s contest making the elite eight in Murfreesboro.
Greeneville at Elizabethton
The Cyclones could wind up playing for a state tournament berth at home on Friday if they can knock off Greeneville today at Joe O’Brien Field.
