A five-error fifth inning by the visiting Bulldogs was the momentum builder for the Rangers Tuesday. The host squad turned the mistakes into a seven-run frame and coasted to a 17-7 conference victory in six innings at Claude Holsclaw Field.

Unaka led 5-1 prior to the fifth when Hampton utilized the short field game to knot the game at five apiece. From there costly errors led to a drastic turn of events and the Bulldogs were unable to recover.
