Rangers, Highlanders in 1-A boys final

JOHNSON CITY — Not since 2001 had Unaka beaten Hampton three times in a season. That is until Saturday.
The Rangers overcame a 13-4 Hampton run to start the game to knock off the Bulldogs 64-58 before a large crowd at Science Hill High School. Cloudland joins Unaka in the finals after knocking off University High 63-55.
The championship and consolation games will be played on Tuesday night at 6 and 7:30.
