Local emergency personnel take Keith Brummitt out of the woods on Tuesday afternoon after he was shot in the shoulder by a Carter County deputy. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Carter County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the incident.

TBI Public Information Officer Kristin Helm confirmed Tuesday that an agent is investigating the incident.
