Officials with Carter County Tomorrow, Carter County’s joint economic development task force, say they believe as many as 310 new jobs will be coming to the county within the coming year.
The group, comprised of city and county representatives and local businesspeople, met Monday night to discuss the implications of what they called “Project: Diesel.”
“Carter County is the only community in Tennessee that’s going for this project,” said Tom Anderson, president of CCT. “This is where this corporation is looking to consolidate … to one location, instead of four locations right now.”
