Phillip Fulmer, former University of Tennessee football coach, will be guest speaker Thursday, Oct. 4, at a special dinner for Holston United Methodist Home for Children.

Seating is limited at the event, which starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Meadowview Convention Center in Kingsport.

“We are very excited and honored to have Coach Fulmer as guest speaker at our Friends of Children dinner,” said J. Kent Bewley, longtime board member at Holston Home. “Coach Fulmer has a passion for children, which fits perfectly with our mission at Holston Home.”

Proceeds from the dinner will go directly to benefit Holston Home, which has been providing “hope and healing for children and families struggling with life’s challenges” since 1895, according to Charles Hutchins, vice president for development and church relations.

“Last year, Holston Home touched the lives of more than 700 children and youth,” Hutchins noted. “By supporting our Friends of Children dinners, such as this one in Kingsport, we can continue to do even more in the future for the children.”

Holston Home, headquartered in Greeneville, has family service centers in Johnson City, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Bristol, Va.
