Parks & Rec panel says pay needed
The Carter County Parks and Recreation Board is turning to the state legislature in a bid to increase participation in meetings by paying its members.
Board members met Wednesday afternoon to decide the specifics of a private act – a resolution passed by the state which would only affect Carter County – which would be taken to the full commission before being sent to the state legislature for approval.
