Tina Bell Campbell Holden, 102, of Abingdon, Va., passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Abingdon Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late James Lawson and Magdaline Vines Campbell. She had lived in Abingdon since 1999.
Mrs. Holden was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Abingdon Ward.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Holden, in 1986; an infant son; a daughter, Bobbie Jo Hood; and by nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Robert “Sonny” Hood, Hampton; her grandchildren, Terry Hood and wife Caroline, Abingdon, Sherry Carson and husband Greg, Yorkshire, England, and Tammy Rice and husband David, Plano, Texas; 16 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mrs. Holden will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, March 22, in the Butler Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Friday to go to the cemetery. Condolences to the Holden family may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
