Stella M. Barnett

Stella Mae Williams Barnett, 84, of Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Hillview Health Center.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Daisy McKinney Williams.
Mrs. Barnett was a homemaker. She attended the Long Hollow Mission.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Barnett, and four brothers, Raymond, Jim, Farris and Ralph.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William “Bill” and Lori Barnett, Elizabethton; two grandchildren, Daniel Barnett and wife Misty and Joshua Barnett, all of Elizabethton; one great-grandson, Matthew Barnett; several nieces and nephews; and her special family members, Phyllis Oliver, Bob Wright and Glen Wright.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barnett will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Doug Hartley officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Hillview Health Center and Jonathan Miller for the excellent care that was received. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Lori Barnett, 306 Liberty Hollow Road, Elizabethton. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:50 a.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery. Condolences to the Barnett family may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
