Rebecca Gail Greenwell Devoti, 34, of Greeneville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 29, 2012, at her residence.

A native of Carter County, Rebecca was born to Joseph and Margaret Greenwell on May 18, 1977. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard and Anna Greenwell and Ray Morgan of Elizabethton.

Rebecca was the loving mother to Breaonna, Elyse, Stephanie, Alyssa, Daniel and Brittney, and the grandmother to Nevin.

She attended the First Church of God, Greeneville.

Rebecca is survived by her loving husband, Neal Devoti, and his parents, Tommie and Carolyn Devoti of Greeneville, and his brother, David and wife Wendy Devoti, and their son, also survive. She is also survived by her father, Joseph Greenwell and step-mother, Regina “Nannie” of Elizabethton, and her mother, Margaret Willey and step-father. William Willey; and her grandmother, Shirley Morgan and husband Herbert. Also surviving are her siblings, Catheryne Robison and her husband Grant of Blountville, Joseph Arthur Greenwell and wife Sherry, Amanda Richardson, Amber Richardson, Pam Bowers and husband Brian, Anthony Richardson and wife Nikki, all of Elizabethton, Kelly Willey of Erwin, Shelby Coates and husband Ken “Diesel” of Kingsport and Anastasia Willey and Michael of Mountain City. Her special aunts, whom Rosa thought the world of, are Jessica Novinger, June Lewis and Jennifer Calloway.

Funeral services for Mrs. Devoti will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ken Bewley officiating. Interment will follow in the Deloach Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Grant Robison, Gary Ricker, Allan Rader, Donnie Wills, David Devoti and William Willey. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
