Marjorie Nell Miller Lewis, 71, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Dovie Miller.
Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her garden. She was a member of the Caldwell Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Miller and George Miller Sr.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Gary Randolph Lewis Sr.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Eddie McMahan, Elizabethton, Tammy and Eric Bowman, Hampton, and Selena and Shane Smith of Virginia; two sons, Gary Lewis Jr., and Larry Lewis and wife, Bobbie, all of Elizabethton; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Willie Lunsford officiating. Interment will follow in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery. Music will be provided by David Long. Active Pallbearers will be Jack Hyder, Bo Taylor, Cody Madden, Eddie McMahan, Nick Sanders, Keith Lewis, Greg Hardin and Andy Hardin. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Shirley Sheffield and Callie Spitzer.
