Kyle William Vannoy, 54, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

He was born in Akron, Ohio, and had lived most of his life in Elizabethton.

Kyle attended Happy Valley High School. He was formerly employed in the Dietary Department at Pine Ridge Care Center and Life Care Center of Elizabethton. He attended Southside Free Will Baptist Church.

Kyle was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Dean Vannoy, April 29, 1997.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, John and Helen Vannoy, Elizabethton; three sisters, Marilyn Brown and Carol Adams and husband Darrell, all of Johnson City, and Stephanie Scalf and husband Scotty, Elizabethton; a brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Beverly Vannoy, Elizabethton; one uncle, Fred Vannoy; and one aunt, Ann Dean. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Vannoy will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Raymond Perkinson and Pastor Steven Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Bakers Gap Cemetery, Mountain City. Pallbearers will be nephews. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the nurses and staff of the Dialysis Unit, Johnson City Medical Center, Elizabethton Fresenius Dialysis and the staff of Sycamore Shoals Emergency Room, and a special “Thank You” to family and friends.
