Kathryn Little Greene, 85, Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord, Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home following an extended illness.
She was a daughter of the late Roy and Mary Treadway Little.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Rev. Fred “Jack” Greene; her sisters, Margaret Arney, Shirley Cox and Ruth Greene; and her brothers, Howard Little and Austin Little.
Kathryn was a homemaker who lived to clean, cook, sew and quilt for her family. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Johnson City.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Linda Greene, Johnson City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jerry Bowen, Springtown, Texas, and Phyllis and Harley Campbell, Cave Spring, Ga.; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Little, Newark, Texas; and a sister, Geraldine Lowe, Butler. Several nieces and nephews also survive
Funeral services for Mrs. Greene will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff, the Rev. Tony Trott and the Rev. Gary Pate officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 27, at Roselawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, will be Anthony Greene, Phillip Hartley, James Hughes, Daniel McMillan and Jeremy Beaupre. The family would like to express a very special “Thank You” to Judy Deloach and all the wonderful caring staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may call at anytime at the home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery. Condolences to the Greene family may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
