Helen P. Holtsinger


Mrs. Helen Peters Holtsinger, age 75, Limestone, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012.in the Johnson City Medical Center.

A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Dan S. and Frona Ritchie Peters.

Mrs. Holtsinger retired after 38 years as a dispatcher with Sprint. She was a member of the 11E Church of Christ and attended Jonesboro Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Leroy Holtsinger; three sisters, Beryl Blevins, Irene Knode and Bernice Cole; and four brothers, Carl Peters, R.C. Peters, Glenn Peters and Leonard Peters.

Survivors include a son, Douglas Holtsinger, Canton, GA; and a brother, Jackie Peters and wife, Dawn, Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Dennis Laws also survive.

Memorial service for Mrs. Helen Peters Holtsinger will be conducted at 7 p,m. Sunday, September 30, 2012, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with Mr. Tony Sayre, minister officiating.

The family will receive at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service. Commital and inurnment service will be conducted at 11 a.m.. Tuesday, October 2, 2012, in the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Limestone.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, 421 Lester Snapp Road, Limestone, TN 37681 or to the American Cancer Society, c/o Lou Cooter, 415 Washington Avenue, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
