Erwin Lawson

TAMPA, Fla. — Erwin “E.L.” Lawson, 66, of Lutz, Fla., met his Savior face to face on Thursday, April 11, 2013.
E.L. was born and raised in East Tennessee but left to join the Air Force in 1967. While stationed in Tampa, he met and married his wife of 43 years. His love of East Tennessee never faded. He was an avid Vols fan, proclaiming his “blood ran orange.”
E.L. was a good, honorable, faithful man. His passion was serving as the pastor of Freedom Baptist Church for 23 years.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Darby, and is survived by his wife, Jeanie; son, Matthew Lawson; daughter, Carrie Liddell (Rob); mother, Celesta Lawson; five grandchildren; sisters, Frances McCloud and Pat “Trisha” McKinney; son-in-law, Carlos Guzman; and two nephews.
MacDonald Funeral Home, Tampa, Fla., was in charge.
