Charles Lawrence “Charlie” Miller

Charles Lawrence “Charlie” Miller, 60, of Johnson City, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013, at his residence, after an extended illness.
Mr. Miller was a native of Johnson City, who had lived most of his life in Carter County. He was the son of Billie Mae Morris Miller and the late Ernest Miller. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Slemp, and one brother, Harold Miller.
Mr. Miller was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church.
Charlie loved fishing and spoiling his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia Miller; one son, Brian Miller and his wife Danielle; two brothers, Larry Miller and Billy Miller; two sisters, Kathy Scott and Shelby Moore; one aunt, Mary Trivette; seven grandchildren, Gabe, Eli, Delainee, Manasa, Makayla, Miley and Charlie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service for Mr. Miller will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel with Rev. Gary Cole officiating. The graveside committal service will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Adam Miller, Chad Miller, Daniel Scott, Stephen Miller, Joe Barnett, Matthew Miller and Ken Moore. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. Memories and condolences may be sent to the Miller family via
