Agnes McKinney Walker, 82, Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 4, 2013, at her residence.
A native of Roan Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Will and Stella Shell McKinney.
Mrs. Walker was a graduate of Cloudland High School. She was retired from Baughman Manufacturing, Hampton. She was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight sisters, Lois Beam, Missouri “Zude” Brown, Edith Arnold, Lilly “Till” Lyons, Creola Stanley, Maxine Matherly, Pink Hijeck and Gladys McKinney, and two brothers, Ernest and Roy McKinney.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Thomas J. Walker; a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Roy Davis, Sherwood, Ark.; two sons, Daniel Walker and Tom Walker and wife Lisa, all of Elizabethton; a sister and brother-in-law, Willie and Richard Baughman, Elizabethton; six grandchildren, Amy Davis, Cabot, Ark., Kris Davis, Sherwood, Ark., Heather Pugh, Cabot, Ark., Michelle Esper, Billings, Mont., Mindy Walker and Thomas Walker Jr., both of Elizabethton; 11 great-grandchildren, Breanna Walters, Jacob and Matthew Phillips, Garrett and Alex Davis, Bobby and Jackson Pugh, McKenzie Ashton and London Glover and Emily Tonkinson; a great-great-grandchild, Milo Walters; and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Pearl Clemmons.
Funeral services for Mrs. Walker will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mike Dickenson officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:50 p.m. Saturday, will be Preston Glover, Paul Waters, Dakota Waters, Alex Baughman, James Smith and Charles Stevens.
