Aaron Scott Mosley, 21, of Elizabethton, earned his angel wings on Monday, May 6, 2013, at his residence with his family by his side after his valiant seven-year battle with cancer.
Born in West Palm Beach, Fla., Aaron graduated from Unaka High School in 2009 and attended East Tennessee State University. He inspired everyone with his strength, courage, hope and that “never give up” attitude. Aaron’s sense of humor would make anyone laugh. Though baseball was his favorite, Aaron enjoyed most all sports. He also had a passion for music, writing and video games.
Aaron was a member of East River Park Christian Church.
Surviving are his beloved mother and step-father, Carolyn and BJ Palmer; his father and step-mother, Kevin and Jill Brigham; brothers, Billy, Joshua, Ryan and Jacob; his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Moncur; and his paternal grandparents, Dennis and Lennis Mosley, Carl and Trish Brigham and Shelby Palmer. Also surviving are his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
A celebration of Aaron’s life with be held at Memorial Funeral Chapel, Elizabethton, at 7 p.m. Friday, May 10, with Pastor Barry Petit officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. The family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers who provided love and support that enhanced Aaron’s quality of life, with a special “Thank You” to Dr. Kalwinsky and the St. Jude Staff. Aaron reminded us daily to celebrate life, to find joy in moments and to face adversity with grace and humor. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence. Condolences to the Mosley family may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
