Nov. 20 session will focus on synthetic drugs

An information session on the subject of synthetic drugs will be presented by the Elizabethton City School System and the Extended School Program Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the T.A. Dugger Junior High School Auditorium.

The session is open to the community.

Speakers will include Elizabethton Police Department representatives, Federal Drug Task Force agents, emergency room physicians and T.A. Dugger’s school resource officer.

Finger foods and drinks will be provided. Door prizes will be distributed from FATZ, Food City, Pizza Hut, The Sun Factory and other local businesses.

The session will discuss synthetic drugs, including symptoms displayed by people using the drugs and what to do if someone is believed to be using synthetic drugs.
