NET Trans unveils on-demand shuttle service for city
By Ashley Rader
Elizabethton residents have a new transportation option to take them where they need to go.
Starting Monday, Nov. 19, the First Tennessee Human Resource Agency’s NET Trans program will offer Connex, an on-demand shuttle service, within the city limits. The shuttle service will pick up riders who live in the city at their home and take them to any destination in Elizabethton.
The shuttle will be available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for all ages. To ride the shuttle, riders need to call to schedule a pickup at least 30 minutes before their desired pickup time. The last ride will be scheduled at 5 p.m. The cost for the shuttle ride is $2 each way for adults. There is no charge for college students or riders under the age of 18. An unlimited monthly pass for Elizabethton Connex is available for $25.
