Elizabethton Custom Cabinets was hoping to put a Boys & Girls Club tee-ball championship in the cupboard, but instead watched Robinson’s Heat & Air breeze to a 14-6 victory Friday night.
The “Rattlesnakes” scored 11 times in the second inning to erase a 6-3 deficit.
“Keeping score was new to them, but we tried to coach them up all season,” said Robinson manager Brandon Whitehead. “It was more instructional during the season, but everything fell right in place during tournament play. We have only three back from last year, but everyone meshed well. I’m very proud of them.”
Robinson’s H&A started off well, scoring three times in its first at bat.
