Senior post Michelle Davis scored a game-high 20 points, including four three-pointers, as Tennessee-Wesleyan snapped a four-game Milligan College win streak Saturday afternoon,
Wesleyan also dropped the Lady Buffaloes from the ranks of Appalachian Athletic Conference unbeaten status.
The Lady Buffs(13-6 overall, 6-1 AAC) shot an anemic 27.3 percent from the floor and were outrebounded by double digits in a 57-44 loss at Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
“I felt like we made too many defensive mistakes early,” said Lady Buffs head coach Rich Aubrey. “And let them get control of the game. We didn’t play well offensively and I’m not sure if we could have gotten around that or not. This is one of those games where the ebb and flow got away from us and we didn’t get too many quality shots down the stretch.”
