Milligan has new swim coach

By

Milligan College has announced that Raymond Weston will take the helm of the swimming program beginning Jan. 2.

“We are excited that Coach Weston will be joining us at the first of the year,” Milligan Vice President of Student Development Mark Fox said. “During the search process, Coach Weston stood out as he was able to clearly articulate a training, competition and recruiting plan. His enthusiasm for competition and individual development fits well at Milligan and with our developing swim program.”

Weston most recently served as the head diving coach and assistant varsity swim coach at Midlakes High School in Clifton Springs, N.Y. During his tenure there, he saw several athletes break school and pool records. In addition to his duties at Midlakes, he also volunteered as the assistant swimming coach for the Geneva Family YMCA Gators swim team in Geneva, N.Y., which had numerous national qualifiers.
