Milligan at 7-1 after sweep of Wise

By

Milligan College’s baseball team not only avenged its lone loss of the young season, but recorded its seventh straight victory on Tuesday.
The Buffs swept Virginia-Wise in a non-conference doubleheaders at Anglin Field. Milligan prevailed by 11-4 and 10-1 decisions.
“It’s a long season still yet, but anytime you can start out seven and one you take it and go,” Milligan coach Nathan Meade said. “It’s good to get a little momentum going early in the season, finally. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve had some momentum, so maybe we can get this thing rolling then.”
Blake Buck batted 2 for 4 with three RBIs in the opener. Sam Tarlton went 3 for 4 with a pair of RBIs.
