Meeting offers look at plans to make trail more accessible

Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department Director Mike Mains shared information on the projects that have been completed and what is in store for the Linear Path during a public hearing Tuesday night. The hearing was a part of the department’s self-evaluation for the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Mains said the focus of the hearing was accessibility for those with physical disabilities.

“We are seeking some input from the community in regards of those with physical disabilities or challenges and how accessible the Linear Path is for those citizens,” Mains said.
