Chad Bogart will share some scary stories and humorous tales at the Scary Stories at the Carter Mansion Thursday night.

The evening of storytelling will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the cemetery. Storytellers Chad Bogart and Mary Jane Kennedy will be telling the tales for the evening. The storytellers will be centered in the Carter Mansion yard with the stone fenced graveyard behind them to provide an appropriate backdrop for the tales.

Bogart said attendees can expect to hear six to eight stories with some songs added to the mix.

“There will be a mixture of stories, some spooky and some humorous,” Bogart said. “They will not be too terrifying. We don’t want to send the kids running off screaming with terror into the night. There will be some stories of family humor. There will be something for everyone.”
